- 20 new Nordic documentary films selected for competition on everything from legal identity, cows, philosophy, and guilt to family relations. List >>
- 33 new Nordic short films in competition covering a broad variety of genres, styles and moods. List >>
- 14 films in the competition New Nordic Voices celebrating emerging filmmakers showing a distinct talent ready for the international market. List >>
- 14 films in the regional competition Go Wæst for films from Jutland. List >>
- Presentations of cross media projects taking in use of the film media merging it with other media and using several platforms.
- Masterclass with celebrated Swedish filmmaker Jonas Odell and a retrospective of his works hybridizing animation, documentary, short film, music video genres, aesthetics and styles. More >>
- An on stage meeting between celebrated filmmakers Janus Metz and James Marsh within the conceptual framework of a dinner talk. Screenings of Armadillo and Man on Wire, prior to the talk. More >>
- Films dealing with human rights issues. Here among, the Iranian film Green Wave will spark off a debate on cyber activism and political revolution involving bloggers and journalist from Egypt.
- Seminar on the use of archive material and screenings of The Acute Man, organized by Scanpix.
- Evergreen documentary films from the treasurer of the art cinema Øst for Paradis: Into Eternity (last year's winner), Cool & Crazy (winner, 2001), Armbryterskan från Ensamheten and We Feed the World.
- Premiere of five 10 minute films created in a unique film relay involving 75 young people in the five Nordisk Panorama cities.
- New films for children and young people covering both shorts and documentaries presented in three slots targeted towards schools in particular.
- Animation films from The Animation Workshop in Viborg selected and presented by the workshop.
- Panel Talk on what makes a good short film good organized by alternative film schools Super16 and Super8, also screening school films during the festival.
- A selection of Sami short films curated by the Skábmagovat Film Festival and promoted by the Nordic Short Film Festival Network.
- 14 films nominated last year for the European Film Academy Award screened in the programs Short Matters.
- In the street, you will find open air screenings at the Street the Film event and in the museum for modern art, Aros, you will find screenings in loop of a small selection of short films.
- In a very alternative cinema, you will find the special event Trash the Film with trashy films animating quite a hysterical laughter.
